Dose (Prod. SkwirllMaster) IS OUT NOW Check out the incredible video
First of all bro congrats on the Dose - absolute banger. Tell us about the project?
Thank you, the love is much appreciated. While I was in the process of making 'Pivotal' I knew I needed to have a fast track on the project. SkwrillMaster played the beat and I knew that it was perfect for it. I went ahead and went in with some bars and tested my ability to rap as fast as I could; the final product is "Dose".
How did you link with SkwirllMaster on this project?
SkwirllMaster is one of my best friends and roommates. We actually became such good friends because of our love of music and work ethic. It was really just a matter of time before we joined forces on a project, so after months of hard work, and dedication we made 'Pivotal'.
The video is wavy - tell us about the concept behind that?
Thanks. I bought a tripod for my camera, so I wanted to use it out and make a music video. I did some brainstorming got to thinking it'd be cool do something like stop-motion, but with video instead of pictures. I went and got some red light bulbs, and went to work. The editing was definitely tedious but, I'm happy with how it all came out.
You have a very quick flow on Dose - tell us about people are reacting?
It's definitely impressing people. Even had someone that thought I recorded my verse then turned up the bpm, so I took that as a compliment.
This track is taken from pivotal, do you want to tell the #musicmoney family about that record?
'Pivotal' is my debut ep; produced and engineered by SkwirllMaster. Even though it's my fifth project, I've put out four mixtapes before it, it kind of feels like the beginning. This was the first project where I really felt like I had found who I was as a mc, and a songwriter. It's essentially the foundation of what I'm creating as an artist. The two of us are both perfectionists, so we put hours upon hours into this project. It really turned out to be a piece of art that you can listen to from start to finish without wanting to skip a track. If you enjoyed "Dose" you'll definitely enjoy 'Pivotal'
