Where are you from?
Originally from Tel Aviv. I have been working and creating from Dublin, Ireland in the last 5 years.
Describe your sound:
Electro house combined with a lot of 80s pop influences. I'm addicted to synths, arpeggiators and strings so my sound is a mix of classic old school New York House combined with 80s and modern dance elements.
Tell us about your latest track:
Heartwish, my latest track, started with lyrics rather than the music. It's quite strange for me to work this way. It goes back to the days when every relationship I had was driven by anxiety. It is a horrible place to be as you have to deal with you internal fears as much as with your partner. Heartwish talks about this notion of 'It's never enough' - nothing can quiet down this anxiety. As for the sound I've really started with revisiting Robyn's greatest hits with a very distinct arpeggiator sound and almost no effect on the vocals. One more dominant element in this production is the string hits in the background, I can only assume that it was due to me listening to 'Release Me' by Agnes on repeat in the gym lately so it somehow became an inevitable sound for me.
Who inspires you?
Everything with clear synth sounds. Rex the dog is my favourite, the way he creates his own unique and very in-your-face dry synth sound blows my mind. Robyn of course comes next and I would also say Susanne Sundfør and Royksopp.
Wow, great question with absolutely no answer. Music is my meditation and way to keep my sanity.
I hope that in 5 years more people would listen to Scott. The Pigeon on their commute, house cleaning, Gyms and clubs. That would be amazing for me. Seeing people enjoy tracks I've created lifts my spirit high and is worth everything.
Where can we check out your sounds?
That's easy - Just search for Scott. The Pigeon All over the streaming services (Spotify, Deezer, Apple music, Google music) and of course
on social channels: Facebook, Instagram and Twitter (Although I'm really bad with updating twitter)
Tell us something about yourself that the people need to know.
My first single 'Lick Your Chest' caused some controversy as people weren't sure what I was referring to until they saw my husband's furry chest on the cover art and it calmed everyone down (for a bit).
"Amazing work. I will be back to build with you.
Much appreciated exposure" @StLukeTheKING
