Creative fun stuff inspires me! I love self made indie artists like Pomplamoose, My Terrible Friend and Natly Dawn. I love meeting people who truly enjoy making art for the sake of making art and witnessing the neat things they create. It keeps me lifted.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
As far as where I see myself in the next five years, pretty much what I’m doing now. I’m certain I’ll be writing, recording and performing but with a larger body of work, a higher skill set, and meeting even more fun and interesting artistic people. Always living the dream!
Tell the people something they need to know:
A few random facts about myself: By day I work as a tech at a digital media facility on the seventeenth floor of a big tall fancy building. I sit next to a giant window with a grand view overlooking all of Hollywood. It's my little piece of La La Land. As you can tell from my song, I really do love Vince Vaughn and hope to meet him one day.
Where can we find your music?
Find my music on Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes, YouTube, Pandora and everywhere. Share it with others via playlists or shout outs. Thank you kindly!
Where are you from?
Hello music lovers! I’m Edie Murphy a Los Angeles fiddler singer-songwriter.
Describe your music to the people:
My music is a happy, fun quirky mix of pop, folk and roots rock with ear catching melodies, which I deem as Americana Pop. Think Cyndi Lauper meets The Dixie Chicks or picture a double bill of The Go Go’s and The Traveling Wilbury’s.
Tell us about your latest track?
In my latest track “Save Our Ship” aka "The Batman Song," I write about the kitschy side of life in Hollywood from Vince Vaughn to Van Nuys, from Randy’s Donuts to traffic on the 405 and my favorite superhero Batman. The campy DIY YouTube video of SOS features me, Batman and a shady villain around common spots of Los Angeles.
Who inspires you?
My influences span the spectrum of rock, 80s pop, country and bluegrass such as Tom Petty, George Harrison, U2, ELO, Amy Macdonald, June Carter, Johnny Cash, Alison Krauss, Bill Monroe, Richard Greene and Sarah Watson.
